Traci, still grieving over her divorce from Danny, is going through a very difficult time. The housekeeper Mamie is by her side, worried to see her still so depressed about the end of her marriage and without many friends to go out and have fun with. Things change abruptly when John decides to fire his old gardener to hire the handsome young Brad Carlton. Traci, who hasn't been out in the house for some time now preferring to be alone, is bewitched by Brad, staring at him all day while he works. Soon Brad notices Traci's glances and does nothing to hide from the woman's eyes, until finally the man approaches her to ask her for a beer. Traci is completely fulminated by the boy and in a short time a secret and passionate story is born between the two of them within the walls of the house. Mamie doesn't take long to discover the two in bed and, shocked, immediately warns John. Brad, however, proves to be much more affable than you might think and in a short time enters into the sympathies of the man, who decides to approve the relationship between an enthusiastic Traci and Brad. If Ashley is happy for her sister, who seems finally back in love and carefree, much colder is Jack's reaction, who sees in Brad only a gold digger who uses Traci's feelings to get inside the family. Jack tries to warn John about being on guard against Brad, but the father quickly shuts his son down, kicking him out of his office and reminding him that the only person he will never trust again is him. Unheard by everyone and criticized by Traci, who begs him to keep quiet as he is the last person who can afford to make judgments, Jack is forced to yield to the will of the family in welcoming Brad into the house, despite Jack's warnings, who informs Brad that he will observe him and will always keep him under control. Although it seems exaggerated, however, the truth is that Jack is not at all wrong about Brad, who doesn't really love Traci and engages in this relationship only to pursue his ambitions and dreams of fame and wealth.
