1985 (#8) - Katherine's plan and Esther and Jill's failure to reach an agreement

Jill's failed attempt to get Katherine back into alcohol led her to immediately come up with a new plan to get the photos; Jill and Jack agreed to try to bribe Katherine's maid, Esther, to get the photo album. In the meantime Katherine, tired of Jill's pretensions and above all suspicious of the possible plots that the woman is plotting behind her back, decides to carry out the revenge that she has been dreaming of for too long. So she decides to tell the whole truth to John, also convinced that the man must know the truth about the wicked woman he married, although this will hurt him a lot. Katherine, therefore, invites John and Jill to dinner at her estate, instructing Esther that she should set the projector in the living room, since after dinner they would see slides. John, informed by Katherine that he has a show in store for him that he would never forget, is very excited about the dinner; this obviously worries Jill, who soon realizes what Katherine wants to do. At the end of the dinner, therefore, as soon as Jill realizes what Katherine is planning to do, the woman pretends not to feel well by begging John to take her home. John is so forced to leave, which makes Katherine quite angry. Although she has managed to thwart this attempt, Jill is well aware that there will be other opportunities for Katherine to show John the photos. Jill thus convinces herself to carry out her plan and then contacts Esther to bribe her and obtain, in exchange, the photos in Katherine's possession. The young and naive waitress seems to be enticed by the proposal, and after some initial doubts she accepts Jill's offer for the album. Jill, then, pledges some jewelry that John himself had given him and with the proceeds he pays Esther to get the album. Everything seems to go well, except that Katherine realizes that Esther is afflicted by something and in the end she manages to get the truth confessed. Jill's plan thus fails miserably.
