1985 (#22) - Katherine's revenge, the photo puzzle and John's heart attack

It's been a few months since Katherine received the compromising photos of Jill's betrayal with Jack, but the woman, still unsure what to do, no longer tried to inform John about the incident. However, Katherine's deep hatred for Jill convinces her that the time has come to act and let the man know the truth. Katherine thus instructs Esther to enlarge the most compromising of the photos in her possession and cut them into a puzzle. So Katherine starts sending one piece of the picture a day to John. Mamie's discovery of these photos in the P.O. box immediately alarms Jack and Jill, frightened like never before. John believes that the shots sent are the result of a joke of some lunatic and warns Paul, while Jack asks Dina for help explaining the whole situation. The day before Katherine's last posting, which would reveal the faces of Jill and Jack, Dina visits Katherine begging her to stop this cruel and sordid game. Katherine, however, feels no reason, even though she is persuaded by Dina to tear up the piece that would have revealed Jack's face, since it would have hurt John too much. Katherine thus orders Esther to remove Jack's face from all the photos, slides and negatives she possesses. After that, she sends the final piece with Jill's face to John's house. He, meanwhile, continues to believe that it is a madman or simply an advertising stunt for a pornographic magazine, and is convinced to throw out all the photos, without realizing that the photo depicts Jill. This one, meanwhile, is happy that the episode went unnoticed, but Katherine, then, decides to call John and, showing him all the photos she has, with only Jill's faces and not Jack's, reveals his wife's betrayal. Photo after photo, John remains incredulous without being able to believe his eyes. Completely enraged, he suddenly throws the projector away and rushes off to confront his wife. When John arrives at the house, however, he cannot find the woman, who is quietly in the pool sunbathing, suspecting absolutely nothing. Back in the bedroom, however, Jill finds John lying face down on the floor. The woman immediately realizes that her husband has had a heart attack and, after warning Jack, she immediately takes John to the hospital, where he is admitted.
