1984 (#16) - Nikki's prayers and the risk of Victor's impotence

After Rick's murder attempt, Nikki suddenly sees everything clearer. First of all, she regrets getting involved in a relationship with a man who was nothing more than a complete stranger, regretting how she could have trusted him; secondly, Nikki is incredulous and happy to have received the news that she had hoped to receive so much in the past and that, inside her, she had always known: Victor is Victoria's father. And Victor's intervention in the first person, who came to save her and risked his life, opened his eyes to what she really wants: to be with the father of his little girl. So it's time for Nikki to pray for Victor's life, who was hospitalized after Rick's injury. After performing surgery on Victor himself, Dr. Hank Steele assures the woman that Victor would survive; however, the nerve damage suffered by Victor could render him impotent. In spite of this, however, Nikki is nevertheless overjoyed and full of gratitude to God for the fact that Victor's life has been spared. And when Victor finally opens his eyes, while the woman holds his hand, it is clear that the two of them want nothing more than to be together for the rest of their lives. Soon, Victor heals and is released from the hospital; Nikki immediately moves in with Victor and the two start living together as a married couple. When Victor proposes to Nikki to get married, the woman accepts without hesitation, stating that she wants to get married immediately, having already waited too long, taking Victor himself by surprise, still unaware that he would most likely never have the chance to have children again.
