A sad Casey, who struggles to forget Snapper even though she was who left him, meets up with Greg, whom she knows by sight, since they have met a few times in the hospital because Greg often goes there for job related matters. They talk for hours only realizing at the end of the evening that they are bound by Chris and Snapper's events. Casey is astounded to be confronted by Snapper's brother and Greg, at the same time, wondering what Fate is capable of doing, making him meet the girl who had made his brother lose his head. Soon, an intense friendship is born between the two of them, which soon leads to a romantic relationship; both in need of affection, in fact, the two soon find themselves very close to each other. Greg manages to get the woman to overcome many of her problems with men, even though they both realize that Casey will never get over her problem until she completely processes the abuse she experienced when she was young.
